Bible Verses and Quotes 210

Hi! I am a human like you. All through my life, I’ve had a series of questions floating around in my mind. It was, is, and no doubt will continue to be: “Why? Why am I here? Why is the world and humans here?”
I also wondered if other humans had the same questions in their minds. So, have you had any of these questions floating around in your mind? If so, you may want to keep on reading! If not; this may not be the book for you.
Very early in my childhood, I learned that there are two worlds out there: my world and everybody else’s. I had a difficult time trying to understand why I could not have what I wanted, when I wanted it, the way I wanted it. But the rest of the humans out there, insisted that they were in control. Well maybe next year, when I’m a little older. And I bet you know what happened. Each year, the other humans seem to have had more control, not less.
It started out simple, If I cried, I got attention and eventually I got whatever I wanted. But, you know, as time went on, the crying worked less and less. So, I tried a new approach: a smile and a little giggle. That worked for a while. But, even then, I learned that they were really in charge. As I learned this, my world seemed to go a little better.
At least until, I started school. Well a new set of humans, maybe I can get my way with them. It took me even longer to learn the same old thing: other humans were still in charge. But I also did learn; that I do have some control of that portion of my life that make me, me. My talents, my body, my mind, and more. During this school time, I learned that this was called by some individuals, the spiritual world. And that part of the world that the others had control of, was called: the physical world.
These two worlds, I came to find out really meant I was two individuals in one. A physical individual, better known as a human. The other individual, a spiritual person, some people call it their soul.
Well, eventually I left the world of schooling. I graduated. This was a turning point in my life. I learned a new key factor. That schooling, I went through, was there to prepare me to enter the world of the worker, the parent, the adult. This new world, I soon learned, I had even less control.
At this point I soon learned that my human/physical person’s life was what I was living for. It meant that this was what the physical life was all about. You live this life, until you die. Then it all ends. But I soon realized, that this new life, was not the answer; that would stop those persistent questions (e.g. Why). Instead, I added a new question: Is that all there is.
So maybe the answer was not in the physical world? It may be found, in the spiritual world.

I then spent the rest of my life searching the spiritual world. And the first thing that I learned, and it was the most important: was that there are levels of control in both worlds. Example: In the physical world; and within a country there are the people and their leader. In the spiritual world; there is the Creator and Controller of both worlds, at the top. Most people call Him, God.
He is the one, who created these worlds. Now I know, that some people, say that there was no Creator; everything just evolved. I have a couple of problems with that: the first being, where did the original material come from, and how come we can’t duplicate the evolution from nothing to something. So is their anybody out there; that can answer those two problems.
So, I prefer to believe that someone or something created these two worlds. And since these two worlds are functioning, running somewhat smoothly; I’m sure that there is somebody or something; that is keeping them in control. For those who do not believe in a Creator and Controller. How did these two worlds start and keep on functioning.
So, if you are like me, and now believe that there is a Creator and Controller let us now start calling Him, God. My next challenge was to start to answer those nagging questions that were bothering me (Why …). After some extensive research in the world’s knowledge and some extensive logical debate I’ve come to the following conclusion: God is lonely.
He wants spiritual individuals who can join Him. But in what. Well another one of my conclusions was that “Love” is the one thing that the spiritual world needs, utilizes and wants to operate within. So being the prime factor in the spiritual world; I’ve determined that God wants love, desires love, and shares love.
Another conclusion I have come to, is that the two different worlds have different definitions of “Love.” The physical world defines it as appreciation of what the other individual can satisfy my desires, needs and wants. The spiritual world defines it in the reverse: What can I do to satisfy your desires and needs. Since the physical world is the opposite in definition of this prime factor within the spiritual world; there must be a decision to make this opposite choice. This is basically deciding to turn over control of your life to the other individual and trusting them to take good care of your life.
This is not a easy decision to make. So I have determined that this decision is the reason for these two worlds and life. The rest of this book will be covering the reason for this decision.

It is my belief that God put us on this earth so that we can be trained to make that decision to truly love him (desire AND do; whatever He wants or desires by turning control of our life to Him).
The difficulty of choosing to spiritually love God, is that humans, by nature, desire self-control of their life. But God knows; that in order to truly love someone, you must trust the other person to have the same type of love: desiring what you need and want above their own desires. And this kind of shared love means that each person must turn over control of their lives to the other.
The only exception to this rule is that when a person has authority over an area of life (e.g. parenting, government, etc.). And since God has ultimate authority over everything. He can’t turn over full control of any area of life. But He can turn over limited control to those individuals who He chooses to give limited authority, such as parents, etc. But those conditions do not free any individuals from turning over control of their lives to God. God needs that control, so that He can operate through them. They become His tools to keep control of this world. By denying Him, love and control of your life, you are denying Him the ability to control this world the way He wants to. Instead, He must take corrective measures to accomplish His plans. As a result of these corrective actions He must take, much suffering will take place.
As, more individuals deny Him control, we as humans will destroy ourselves and the world around us.
So, you may be wondering why would God, who created us and is controlling this world, allow this to happen? If you remember, in the beginning of this book, I determined that He created and is controlling this world and humans, so that we would learn to truly love Him. True Love (putting the other person’s needs and desires above your own) requires that you must make the choice. Otherwise, if it would be built in to your nature, it would be God loving God through you. And what God needs, is that we choose to love Him with our WHOLE heart, mind, and spirit. Placing His desires, and wants above our own. A choice is required.
Have you seen any humans who were required to be in authority/true love with someone they did not want to be and the results of that relationship? I have not found many successes under those conditions. Making the choice to put the other person’s needs and desires above your own and turn over control of your life to them is a requirement for True Love and to truly love God.
Only then can you develop a “Trusting Relationship.”

The only way any loving relationship can function is for two individuals to be able to trust each other. But the human nature is set up to live your life to achieve/acquire what is best for ourselves. That is why self-love plays such an important part in our physical life.
To have a relationship with another individual; the two individuals must consider how they are to relate to each other. The dictionary defines relationship as: “the quality or state of being related, connected or associated, as in thought, meaning, etc.” For two individuals to be in a loving relationship they must put the other individual first in priority. You must trust that the other individual will be doing the same.
To develop that trusting relationship, you must get to know the other individual and what their needs and desires are; and how you can satisfy them. So, God, has created this world and us humans to be a school where we learn how to make the decision, and how to show our true love by trusting Him, by turning over control of our life to Him. And to do all of this, we must get to know Him. This is where the spiritual training program comes in to play. We humans, call this spiritual training program: religion.
Religion is the process of learning all about God and how we need to relate to Him so we can love Him with our WHOLE heart, mind and spirit. And when we have completed the training program God has for us to truly love and trust Him; we will be ready to graduate/pass-over to our new life, sharing love with Him and other humans who have made the same choice.
This new life of shared love is for eternity/forever-and-forever. It is a life were God and all human spirits join-together in this loving relationship. In order to do this, you need to trust all other spirits enough; so, that they and you can share love and become as one spirit. No individuality will be allowed. It will require, complete commitment and trust. That is why humans are put here on this earth; so, that we can make that decision, develop the trust required, along with the commitment – enough so we can turn over control of our life so that we can become one spirit with God.
If you have followed me so far, I hope you are beginning to see that all of this is quite difficult. It requires a plan to complete this training. So, let’s look at God’s training program for us humans to be able to join Him for eternity in a love fest.

As we learned in previous chapters, we as humans, and the world we exist on, where put here to provide training so we can choose to love God with our WHOLE heart, mind, and spirit. And when we have made that choice; we can then prepare ourselves to turn over control of our life so that when we graduate to our new life of joining God and like-minded spirits in an eternal love-fest. To live this new life, for eternity, we need to fully commit to and trust in God.
And since our human nature is the opposite of the required spiritual nature and True Love requires that we choose to make the decision to change our nature; we need to be trained to leave our human nature and select and implement the required spiritual nature. Let us look at that training program.
Are you facing challenges in your life? Are you happy with your life? If not, read on. As we have previously stated God has a plan to help you make the decision to love Him with your WHOLE heart, mind and spirit, and then to turn over control of your life to Him. We have also covered; that this plan uses religion to accomplish the plan. I would like to suggest the Christian faith/religion as the way for you to go through that training.
We will provide you with guidance to live your life as a Christian. As a Christian you will develop a love affair with the creator and controller of this world we live in. Then, as a result of that love affair, we will show you how to improve the quality of your love affairs here on earth. Both of these love affairs will improve the quality of your life.
Who is in charge?
You can choose to live life under your control only. But everybody else will object. Or you can live within the rules that the rest of the world (Country, state, county, city, job, etc.) put in place. The trouble with doing that, is that it is very difficult. This happens because; there is a level of authority above all these. Some people call it society/culture/environment. We need to deal with the highest level.
Highest Authority
The level of authority that is the highest, is the one who is responsible for the area of life you are dealing with. Since we are all living on earth; there needs to be some authority for the whole earth. I’m sure that you understand that someone created your watch, your car, etc. Well what about the air you breathe, the water you drink, etc. These were created also. Most people call this creator, God. He is the person you should get to know and have a love affair with.
Have you looked out the window today? Seen any nature, sky, people, and a lot more? Why are they all out in the world and how do they exist? Have you ever wondered how all these things keep going without chaos taking place. There must be some controlling influence on all of what is out in the world. If there is any sense to all of this, and you understood some of these answers; then you might be able to make some sense of all this. And then you could even act more appropriately.

Love Affair
The Boss/God created this universe and all that is in it, because He wanted something to be proud of. Once He created all of this, He wanted to share His pride with others. He created beings that we called angels. They, were able to, share and acknowledge the creators pride. The Creator then decided that He wanted to share all of this with someone who can also share love with Him. He then created human beings who can choose to share love with him. Once you acknowledge that there is a highest level of authority and you choose to follow His rules, you will find that most other circumstances, start to make sense, and are part of an overall plan. Not one free from challenges but one that provides you with a love affair and a lover to go through the challenges with you.
Your lover God will provide you with guidance on how to live life the best you can and with the greatest level of peace possible. Being a lover of the highest level gives you a chance to join Him in an eternal love fest.
Purpose for Life
Love is putting the other person’s needs as more important than ours. We do this, because we are depending on our lover to put our needs as more important than theirs. This is what we call a loving relationship. In this loving relationship, we find purpose and fulfillment. The quality of our life is improved. But this improvement requires that we also develop a sense of trust in the relationship. And this sense of trust requires that we also turn over control of our lives to our lover. Human beings were created for the purpose of having a love affair with their Creator.
But to have a love affair with someone, you must love them. In order to love someone we need to see the value of this love affair that will make up for the fact that we need to put the other party’s needs, desires, etc., above our needs, desires, etc., as more important. When we do put someone else’s requirements above ours, we can then receive the full value of the love affair. In the case of having a love affair with God, we receive a lot of value.

With the benefits we receive from the love affair, we can better face the challenges of life. We still will face the challenges of life, but they will deepen the love affair, we are having with our lover God. This deepening of our love affair, will also deepen the trust and then as a result of that trust, we will make the commitments needed in a love affair/marriage. This commitment reflects the trust that we have in our lover.

Just as we would do things for a human lover (like doing special things-cooking special meals, etc.). God asks us to do special things for Him. I choose to call these things assignments (like joining a community of other God lovers). This pleases our lover by sharing our love of Him with others. Nothing deepens human love more than when our lover does something for us. Also, one of the best ways to show our love is to learn as much as we can about our lover and what our lover needs and requires.

On earth, in an attempt to have a good love affair, we make every effort (dates, sharing our life story, friends, etc.). In order to have a good love affair with the Boss over all, we need to make every effort to learn about our lover. We can do this by joining groups of like-minded individuals: Christian churches, studying Christian media, etc.. If you are a book reader, you may want to get a Christian Bible. With God, we need to study the Bible. Also, there are many Christian web sites. All and more will help you learn about your lover God.

God Lover
On earth, we learn that to have friends or lovers we must be able to share time with each other. Well the same is true when you wish to have a love affair with the Boss. You will need to block out time to spend with your lover God. This time must include sharing your thoughts and feelings. It also should include a sharing of your needs which is called praying (see the Appendix for samples). And some of this time should include spending time learning about our lover God (e.g. reading the Bible, involvement with Christian friends).

One of the reasons our lover God wants us to participate in communities of lovers, is for us to see how they are applying His requirements put forth in the Bible. They are applying them to the daily challenges faced. And as a result of them, they can share how they were able to deal with life. One of the best ways to do this is to join small groups of these fellow lovers and participate in the sharing of life techniques. Make personal friends with those who are facing similar challenges and share with them. Also, listen/watch Christian media.

Many of the love affair requirements are spelled out in a book called the Bible, which provides guidance on what this love affair’s requirements are along with the benefits. The main requirement is to show our love by placing God’s requirements first and accepting that He is in charge of our life. He requires that we follow his guidance. In exchange for following these requirements we receive, love, guidance, hope, an eternal love fest, gentleness, and love affairs with other God lovers and much more.

Christian Media
There are many resources that you can utilize to help you build the love affair to the level that offers you the best benefits. Beside the Bible there is Christian TV networks (e.g. Up) / Programs, Music groups, Books, Videos, Christian Internet sites, Christian organizations, and a lot more. But the most important guidance you will receive will be God’s guidance and plans for helping you make the decision to make the choice to commit the control of your life to His control and to share love here on earth and in the eternal love fest. But as a result of the changes in your life, you will find that your relations with other humans will improve.
When we focus on our needs and desires, we have no problem with using deception to improve our life. In God’s family, deception does not please Him or others and therefore it is not considered a good thing. Lying only benefits us and therefore not God and others. To deal with truth, places us in harmony with our God and others and is called being pure of heart. And following this approach leads us to a more joyful and peace-full life with a higher quality of life. When we practice deception, we set as a goal, happiness at any cost.
Other Humans
One of the most effective ways to deepen your love relationship is to join Christian Small Groups within a Christian church. These small groups will help you greatly. They will allow you to ask questions you may have. See how others are coping with the challenges of life. You will also acquire opportunities to learn about your lover God and how others deal with Him. These small groups will provide you with friends who can be a mentor for you. And all of these will deepen your relationship with your lover God.

You will find that if you follow God’s plans for control of your life and sharing love; that the same principles will work well with having relationships with others. You will better understand how to have a love affair, and how to deal with the control within relationships. Other factors like the gentleness you will develop. Also, you will learn how to deal with forgiveness, one of the most difficult emotions to deal with. You will learn as part of God’s control of your life, how to avoid such bad emotions as envy, overeating, etc. All of these benefits will help you realize the quality of life that the Creator of this world wants for you.

Our Example
God offers within the Bible an example of what he expects of us as his lovers – Jesus Christ. He was able to live the human life with all of its challenges and complete the most difficult assignments and still follow God’s requirements such as love, hope (looking forward to the eternal love fest), faith (believing in these requirements), etc. By joining a community of God lovers, you can see other humans trying to have that love affair, sharing his love, practicing the trust required, living with the hope for the future, etc. Let’s look at participating within a community of God lovers.
Strength without Feeling

The world of power, pride, and personal independence requires its followers to have strength without feeling to reach success and to maintain it. God’s love affair requires us to have mercy, which is putting God’s and others needs and desires and success over ours. So, whatever happens, in relation to others, is under our lover God’s control; so, we accept it as part of His plan for us. We can then easily forgive others and what they do to us. Our joy comes from pleasing our lover and others. Therefore, we can grant mercy to others. And by dong this we are successful.
Weak Commitment
Weak commitments, causes much chaos in this world; because no one is sure what to expect. The world’s orientation is focused on personal success being pursued without the world’s needs and desires. God, as our lover, wants us to have personal peace through loving Him and others. When we do this, we become peacemakers and offer the world an entry into the world of peace and love we are sharing. This brings us a better quality of life and truly helps us deal with the challenges of life.

As a lover of God, you will receive power and blessings from your lover God. You will be a better person. One who has many good qualities, everything from being a Peacemaker, to one who is kinder and gentler. You will receive the blessing/power of the Holy Spirit to guide you in making good decisions about living your life in some special way, like: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, language, and more. All will help you reach out and help others.

Goodness is the action you take to want to do everything within your power to please your lover God. And as a result, you usually please your family members in God and thereby receive a return of love by God and others. This frequently provides you with the results of the goodness that God and others do for you. Also by developing goodness you also usually are doing the good things that please the other levels of authority above you (country/employer, etc.) and below you (e.g. like children). These benefits, are very helpful in your life. And, as a result of all these and previously covered attributes of the Godly love affair we receive Joy.
Gentleness is a trait where you love a brother or sister in God’s family so much that you do not want to hurt them in any way that is not required for a higher benefit. This is much like when a parent takes a child to a doctor for necessary shots but also does everything in their power to help the child get through the difficult situation sharing as much LOVE as possible. This helps the other party get through the difficult challenge as easy as possible and with as much help that you can offer. Gentleness is also displayed in your tenderness. As a result of these actions you get to share other benefits like Goodness. Humility
One of the most important and the most difficult actions to develop, is the trait of humility (letting the other party in a love affair into and have control of your life). Humility is putting into action the requirement of love that the needs and requirements of the other party is more important than yours and accepting that you must let the other party into your life so that they can do the same. But one big difference in the love affair with God, is that God also created other humans as your brothers and sisters. As a result of that, He expects us to have a love affair with His other children. One of the benefits out of this is kindness.

“When you fully put in to practice the love of your human brothers and sisters, you develop the trait of kindness (wanting to please your Father/Lover God) by showing how you are sharing your common love through doing things that will satisfy the needs and requirements of your brothers and sisters in God’s love affair. And one of the other benefits that you will receive is the kindness of your brothers and sisters. in God’s family. Note that kindness does not require that you like the other party, only to love them by doing what you can to satisfy their needs and requirements if they also meet your lover God’s needs. This will develop gentleness also.

Joy is the pleasure you get from doing everything within your power to please your lover God and the result of all the benefits you receive from sharing that love. These benefits that have been covered in this book already and those to come, provide you with the joy of completion of the purpose you have been given by being given life. It is the equivalent of all the joy of all the other successes (graduations, etc.) rolled into one. And then you add what will happen in the future – the eternal love fest. With this joy, you can deal with any other challenges you will face. This greatly impacts the quality of your life.
One of the greatest virtues you will acquire, by turning control of your life over to God is Patience. This is the ability to put the control of circumstances out of your control – much like when you were a student in a class or a member of a team. You just do what the next action you are required to do, the best way you can and leave the results to the higher authority (e.g. teacher/coach). Life becomes something that you do the best you can and then move on to the next action. You are trusting your lover God to take care of you. You rest in His shared love, much as young lovers on their honeymoon. But Patience does require humility.

Happiness at any cost efforts lead us to focus on our desires and needs. This means that we have to take it from someone else. If we are a lover of God, we focus on pleasing him. This means we get our pleasure from satisfying God not our-self. As a result, we get our rewards now and mostly in the future at our eternal love fest. We are then freed to have peace in our life and how it is progressing. We can then also focus on being totally committed to our Godly love affair; instead of having weak commitments.

With all the benefits, we covered, you would guess that there is something you have to pay. Yes, you need to change your attitude from things that satisfy your desires and into an attitude of pleasing others. Love, is focusing on the other party in the love affair and is in direct opposition to such attitudes as Pride and personal independence. You still need to offer the best person you can be to the other party. But it is to please them, not yourself. This attitude is called poor in spirit. To achieve this, you need to avoid the Power attitude.

Social Media
Social Media will allow you to keep in touch with your Christian friends and mentors. You will be able to share: coping with challenges, highlights of life, assignments, and a lot more. There will be opportunities to share such things as pictures, prayer chains, meeting times, and places, etc. Also, you can share videos on YouTube. There are countless web sites that offer everything from web small groups to online Bibles. Many of these sites are also available on your cell phones as applications. All of this will give you a sense of being part of a family of friends.
Christian Blogs
One of the ways you can get your questions answered is to access Christian Blogs such as mine. Quality of Life Ministries. At my blog and others, you will find additional material such as sample prayers, bio’s of people who have dealt with the challenges of life, Questions and answers, topical papers, and a lot more. You will find that all, of these, will deepen your love relationships and improve the quality of your life.

Large Groups
Do not overlook large group gatherings such as worship services, special speakers, Christian concerts, and a lot more. These activities will give you a chance to share with others how much you are in love with your lover God. It will show your pride in the love affair you have. It will also give you opportunities to make commitments to your lover; through such things as communion, baptism, attempts to serve, lead and a lot more. All of these will deepen your relationship with your lover.
One of the most valued benefits provided you will be the spiritual gift of hope. Hope is knowing that your lover God will be trying to do what is best for you within His plan for the whole earth. He will be with you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through whatever He needs you to go through. And you will always have the hope that the worst humans can do to you is to take your earthly life. But that is the best that can happen to you, because you will be joining with your lover God in your reward- an eternal love-fest.

Personal Living
Just as with an earthly love affair, you will want to live with your lover. Well just as on earth, you need to invite your lover God to be involved with your life. Everything you do will be measured against how it will impact your lover God. You will find yourself talking with your lover-God when you get up and when you go to sleep, through the whole day. How you act and relate to everything else will be important. The friends you keep will be vital. The time you spend will be guided by what would please your lover. All of this will continue to deepen your love affair and improve the quality of your life.
The two worlds
At this point, you may be wondering why you cannot currently see your lover-God? Well that is because there is two different existences/worlds/universes. One is the physical world we live in currently called the earth and universe. The other is the spirit world, where God exists along with the eternal love fest. This is the existence that you will join Him in; if you should choose to do so. You can do that; because you were created in two parts: human body and as a spirit/soul. The spirit is that part of you that will join Him. And is the part that has all the special capabilities that makes you different then the animals, like: creativity, reasoning, wisdom, love, etc.; and what makes you, you (e.g. talents, gifts, etc.). Your body exists only to help you make the decision. Once your body has completed the cycle of making that decision, it will cease to function here on earth or as we call it death.

The Example
One of the best ways we can learn how to function in this loving relationship with God is to look at the example He sent to earth. God knew that we humans were having a hard time understanding how we should live in that loving relationship. So, He sent a part of Him down to earth to be an example of how we should live. And this example was documented in the Gospels within the Bible. So, you need to make a special effort to study the gospels within the Bible. While there, you may notice that Jesus Christ, our example, also came to pay the penalties for doing the wrong actions that all people have done, hurting our loving God. This is called salvation, which has made it possible to have this loving relationship with God, even though we have completed actions that has hurt Him. That is what is called sin.

Our Guide
Once we make the decision to share love with God, He knew that we would need some special guidance on how we should live to fully, and enjoy the benefits we will receive. Well He sent another part of Himself that is called the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can be with us, at all times, if we should so choose to permit Him, and to listen to His guidance. He is the portion of God that walks hand in hand with us through our life if we want that help. He will be in our mind and spirit providing guidance and help dealing with the challenges we will face. These challenges will strengthen and confirm our loving relationship. The Holy Spirit will use the resources that God has provided us, such as: Bible, the church, Christian friends, etc. All will be available through the Holy Spirit’s help and we need to make use of them. So, choose to use them.
Decision Time
On the earth, when we have fallen in love with someone and want to deepen that love relationship into a commitment to each other, we make that commitment official and binding by entering into the marriage arrangement. Well, in the love relationship with God, we also need to make a sign of commitment to our lover God. That sign of commitment is primarily the decision we make to place what our lover God’s requirements for us, first and foremost, in our lives. This means that what He expects of us, is more important then what the world expects of us along what our desires are. It means trusting Him to guide us and to care for us. It means putting control of our lives in His control. It means, depending on Him for our lives. We need to make that decision and commitment, before we end our earthly life cycle.
We can make it official, by going through a Christian Baptism, much like we do in a marriage ceremony for an earthly love affair.

One of the most frequent questions I get asked is: Well if I accept the information you have provided: how will my life change? Well the best way to visualize it is to think of a newly married couple on their honeymoon.
When your eyes open in the morning, the first thing you think of is the individual you are with. When you love God with your WHOLE heart, mind and spirit; your first thoughts should be about how much, you love Him, trust him with your life and thank him for all He has done, is doing, and will be doing for you. Don’t forget that you (1) just woke up for another day of sharing love with Him; (2) Your mind that can think these thoughts; (3) Your eyes/ears/voice/hands/feet/, etc.; (4) Your life; (5) the chance to walk through life with your best friend; (6) Food, Liquids, Air, Clothes, to keep your body going. (7) The worst the world can do to you is to help you graduate/pass-over to an eternal love fest. This is just a small sampling of what you have to be thankful for. It will at least get you to a cup of …
Just as you would spend time with your spouse through breakfast; you need to spend time with God your lover. You do this by reading about Him (e.g. Bible, Inspirational books, etc.). Also, you need to have communication with Him through prayer, small group (church, family, etc.).
As you go through the day remember He is with you, and ready to discuss, mind to Holy Spirit, any concern you might have. Also, remember that you are just a tool for the Holy Spirit to use to accomplish His plans for the world. He is in charge; all you need to do is your best. The results are in His hands.
If your time permits, you can spend time with Christian small groups, media, church services, friends, and a lot more.
Since God is in charge, and you did your best and it is something your lover God would approve, you have nothing to be concerned with. Just go on to the next thing your lover God has given you to do.
You will be receiving the peace and joy you deserve, because you will be making your lover God proud of you. But remember; that you must trust him as you go through the day,
At the end of the day, be sure that your last thoughts are of thanks for all your lover God has done for you.
Any time that you start to receive negative thoughts (thoughts and things that will not give pleasure to your lover God, start listing all the things God has, is, and will do/done for you. It will get you back to walking with your lover God.
I hope by now, that you have found the same answers to the same questions I have found:
Why does humanity and this earth exist?
I have found that there is a God (the Creator and Controller) and the person in charge. And that He wants us to make the decision to Love Him with our WHOLE heart, mind and spirit. And to show that love by trusting Him and turning over control of our life to Him.
Since there seems to be less and less people doing that; God must take corrective action.
Corrective Action
Maybe you may have noticed; that it has been dry lately:
• Little rain.
• Few tornados
• Few Hurricanes
• Above average temperatures
• Higher prices for food.
• And a lot more.
Well this dryness is called: Drought. OK, you may be wondering what Drought is: Here is what Wikipedia has to say about it:
Drought is an extended period when a region receives a deficiency in its water supply, whether atmospheric, surface or ground water. A drought can last for months or years, or may be declared after as few as 15 days. [1] Generally, this occurs when a region receives consistently below average precipitation. It can have a substantial impact on the ecosystem and agriculture of the affected region. Although droughts can persist for several years, even a short, intense drought can cause significant damage, [2] and harm to the local economy. [3] Annual dry seasons in the tropics significantly increase the chances of a drought developing and subsequent brush fires. Periods of heat can significantly worsen drought conditions by hastening evaporation of water vapor.
OK, but to me it’s just pain dry. Let’s see what Science and Wikipedia has to say about what causes Drought:
Drought can be triggered by a high level of reflected sunlight and above average prevalence of high pressure systems, winds carrying continental, rather than oceanic air masses, and ridges of high pressure areas aloft can prevent or restrict the developing of thunderstorm activity or rainfall over one certain region. Once a region is within drought, feedback mechanisms such as local arid air, [9] hot conditions which can promote warm core ridging, [10] and minimal evapotranspiration can worsen drought conditions.
It seems to me, by this explanation: that drought; is caused by a bad environment/weather. And the last time I checked, science and/or humans have not been able to control the weather and all we as humans can do is to cause the environment to go bad. So, maybe, there is a power that is not under human control, and may be in control of this environment/world.
If so we humans, have not been paying much attention to it’s influence in this world. Those few who have been trying to give the power that is in control it’s due: have called it (science) environment or (others) have called it God. I will let science and the environment and the failure of humans giving it the due it deserves – up to those who are better qualified then me to speak about our failure there.
Let’s look at what this failure causes, next.

`We need plants is to provide us with oxygen to breathe. I don’t know about you, but I/science have not as yet figured out, how to live without them. In my limited knowledge, I have determined that the most important consideration in my mind is the need for humans to have liquids going into their bodies to keep their (chemical/physical) bodies functioning. In my limited studying; I have found that we can live for only a few days without liquids coming into us.
Kind of important factor in my belief. OK, but what happens if plants and/or animals do not get liquids. They also quit living. And without them, I figure we might get a bit hungry. And I am rather sure that we would not last very long.
Have I got your interest yet? It’s rather clear to me that humans, animals, and plants can’t function without liquids. What about our society, can it function without liquids?
Let’s look, at sanitation. Sanitation is basically: getting rid of the waist human/animal bodies produce as they function. Without an effective sanitation system, human systems have a problem with disease and other negative things. We as humans grouped together in cities have yet to find a way to have an effective sanitation system without liquids. Without sanitation, we would need to give up human groupings (like cities).
The next thing society needs is liquids to put out fires. Without water, we can’t use flammable building materials in our human groupings. And of course, there is all the temperature control functions that our performed by liquids.
I also noticed that transportation uses liquids to get what we need from one place to another. From boats using rivers and lakes to move things around. And of course, there is all the cooling of engines that go on in trains and autos and so forth. I guess that is rather important.
Have you noticed that this world would ceased functioning if we were to have to give up electricity. And a lot of that electricity is produced using liquids such as water turbines, water cooled coal/nuclear plants, etc. No water, limited or no electricity. Important, right?
I have just touched the surface of the challenges we will face in the future without rain/usable water. Property values will tank without water accessibility. Financial systems will collapse. Without farms, cities, manufacturing, and society as we know it today/humans would find it hard to function or survive.
Nations will go to war to grab whatever usable water they can. And at the end, there would not be a livable world for humans, animals and plants.
I think that I have illustrated the importance of the topic of “The Drought,” the world is facing. If I am right, this should be a life and death item in our lives. Or if not, it will bring death and the end.
If you are with me so far, and you think that this might be something you should look at, please continue.

Yes, The U.S. government says so. It publishes on a web site: “U.S. Drought Monitor”.
They seem concerned. But I’m sure that they don’t want to appear too concerned or they could cause a panic. I know that I am very concerned. Here is some of the U.S. government’s concern:
The drought map summarizes and synthesizes information from the local and state level to the national scale, making it the most widely used gauge of drought conditions in the country. Policy makers use it to allocate relief dollars, states use it to trigger drought response measures, and media rely on it. The USDA uses it to distribute millions, even billions, of dollars in drought relief to farmers and ranchers each year, and the Internal Revenue Service also uses it for ranching-related tax determinations.

Yes, here is a portion of a recent article from the U.S. government.:
• Based on the Palmer Drought Index, severe to extreme drought affected about 8 percent of the contiguous United States as of the end of February 2015, an increase of about 2 percent from last month. About 5 percent of the contiguous U.S. fell in the severely to extremely wet categories.
• About 15 percent of the contiguous U.S. fell in the moderate to extreme drought categories (based on the Palmer Drought Index) at the end of February.
Another article:
• Okay, your question intrigued me so I took the liberty of googling ‘worst droughts in history’ apparently, the western region of the U.S. is going through one of the worst droughts in 500 years and Australia is going through the worst drought that they’ve ever had in 1000 years.
And another:
It is well known that climate change is causing all sorts of extreme weather, and may lead to events such as 35-year-or-longer “megadroughts” that will be the worst we’ve seen in 1,000 years. Now researchers are giving us another glimpse into the future, saying that drought damage will likely cause widespread forest death by the 2050s as a result of climate change.
These articles have caught my attention. And what is extremely important is that the speed of the increase in the growth of the world’s drought. I challenge you to go out on the internet and Google or Bing “World Drought”. It will scare you as it did to me. And yet all we see on our local, national and world news is less important news for our future. These articles and notifications should be on every news, talk, and discussion show. But they won’t, because it would cause panic and world-wide societal collapse. What has caused this?

Well we humans, have a basic characteristic that wants us to be in control of our life and everything around it that impacts our life. But since we have to live with other humans who have the same basic characteristic, we automatically run into trouble.
Our world and society can’t function in full effective cooperation in giving each individual full control of their life and the world around them. So, the world and society has a program that provides multiple levels of authority (U.N., Nations, states, counties, cities, etc.). This is seen in all aspects of society: school, job, family, etc.. But each of these levels of authority have other humans with the same need for control of their life and others. We don’t have within us as humans to fully overcome this character flaw. Therefore, the world was created and is being controlled by a “Higher Power.” This need for this “Higher Power” to provide us with the ability to provide us with the power to fully cooperate with others for the betterment of the human society is and has been part of our natural character – all through human history.
But it has only been in recent generations of humans that the majority of humans have taken out of their life this need for a “higher power.” So, as a result of this action by the majority of humans, we have been unable to fully cooperate for the betterment of the world and humanity. We are physically destroying our environment, our society, our families and everything around us.
The reason that this “Higher Power” is necessary to human survival is that the “Higher Power” provides us with the “Morals and Ethics” that provides us with the framework of cooperation between individuals and society. Without these morals and ethics, it is impossible to successfully cooperate. We, as humans, have tried to replace them with “laws and rules.” But they do not work; because the motivation to follow them is not present within the average human. And, so we have to use an approach of punishment for failure to follow these laws. The problem with punishment is that it only makes things worse. All we have to do, is to take a look at the world’s prisons.
And of course we also presently hope that our education systems will teach societal cooperation. But we have taken it out of our educational systems. Instead we have encouraged the students to be the best individual they can be and to get the most they can individually. This is the opposite of what is needed for a successful world.
And if we add the science factor to the mix, we add a lot more challenge to human society. Science’s purpose was in the past to help the human race to deal with the challenges of life. But science has become a money making operation. What is best for the individuals who are funding the science.
Next we add the military to the mix. The only way a country can function is to have the best military to defend the country from attack. This just brings more death and destruction.
We then add the business world to the mix, we have the need to make the most money for the humans associated with the business. It’s not what is best for society, but what is best for the individual.
These factors have as their core, “What is best for the individual.” Therefore, what is best for society is buried by the individuals in this society. With this in mind, I hope you can see that science and individualism is not the answer.
So what is the answer.

The answer I have come up with, is that we need to first acknowledge that the current approach does not work. Individualism (each individual seeking what is best for him/her) produces a societal system which puts the individual first and not society, being more important.
The second step is that we need to change our approach to society and authority. From individualism to seeking what is best for society. And that “Higher Authority” (there are multi levels of authority & authority is good) approach to authority is necessary.
The next step is to acknowledge that there is a creator and controller of this world we live in. And He has the right to demand that we pay attention to Him and His rules for humankind
Following that acknowledgement, societies institutions (religion, education, etc.) needs to make this approach to changing humanities approach to life as their highest priority. Society needs to change their approach from what is best for the individual to what is best for society.
Society would need to change in the following areas:
• Religion will need to give priority to their articles of faith that reflects obeying authority including the “Higher Power.” The second priority needs to be love of the “Higher Authority” and of others. And emphasis will need to be put on the real definition of love: placing the other parties need and desires above theirs.
• Education will need to put its top priorities on obedience of the authority chain including the “Higher Power.” Secondly education would need to put down the priority of science and place the emphasis on what is best for society.
• The judicial system would need to change their priority from protecting the individual rights to protecting the rights of the Higher Power and society as a whole.
• We as humans would need to change our government systems from being centered on individualism to one centered on obeying the “Higher Power” and what is best for society as a whole. If this means one world government, so be it.
• Military and police would need to enforce and defend the other areas.
• Business would need to change from a profit based approach to a service based approach. Much like the public utilities are handled today. And it would need to change from a centralized location approach to a decentralized approach.
• The financial world would need to change it’s approach from one centered on profit to one centered on service and what is best for society.. Any profits could be fully taxed if it can’t be shown that the profits are not going to improve society.
• Labor/employees would be paid based on what they are doing to improve society. Salary ranges would be controlled by government.
• Families would need to be created and functioning within the previously stated definition of love (placing the other parties needs first). Potential marriages would need to be tested either by the religion or government areas for the parties commitment to the love factor, before licenses would be issued. Only licensed marriages would be allowed to raise children without supervision. Any children being raised outside licensed marriages would need to be monitored by the state.
• Individuals would need to be tested as children regarding their capabilities and placed in training programs that would need to be coordinated with societies needs.
This only touches the surface of what would be required. We would also have to change our relationship with the “Higher Power.”
The “Higher Power” will guide society in making this approach work. He will provide the power and guidance to individuals to accomplish this change. This power will take the form of various attributes: patience, kindness, gentleness, etc..
But first we need to acknowledge that there is a “Higher Power.” An entity that created this world and is in control of this world. Science has learned and taught us that there is an orderliness in our world.
We see it in many aspects of our life. We know how to travel by way of the north star. The sun rises in the east at a knowable minute. Babies are born on schedule. Weather is predictable. And a lot more.
Something or somebody needs to be in control. We even used to come rather close to how much moisture over a period of time would come. Well something has changed. And we are even told by our scientist that we have wrecked our environment. Well if we have wrecked it, then there is no hope.
I prefer to believe what I have observed: that there is a higher power who is in charge. One who can change our future from what we did to it by our individualism to one where He is acknowledged to be in control by the majority of humans. By being in control of the world, He is in control of our lives also.
In order to have this control relationship we need to develop a love sharing relationship. One where we place the other parties needs and desires first over ours. But since the “Higher Power” is over all the world, He needs to take in to concern the whole worlds needs along with His overall plan for the world. So He may not be able to provide us with our needs that may be in conflict with the needs of others or His plan.
Currently the majority of humans to not acknowledge His authority over them. He needs to get their attention and bring them back under His control. Our failure to do so has created the lack of a proper physical and social environment for a successful human relationship to function between us and the Higher Power, between us and others and between us and the physical world.
This improper relationship has brought us to this condition. And only the majority of humans can change it by improving our relationship with the “Higher Power” and other humans. Although He can do it on His own; why would He if there is no improvement in our human relationships.
But for those who make an attempt to achieve this improved relationship without the majority of humans doing so, will find that they have help going through the challenging times ahead. And the “Higher Power” (or who I will now start calling-God) will provide you with a reward for doing so. This reward will usually be in another world and time.
These benefits will be better explained through your religion if you have one. I strongly suggest you acquire one. If you would like a suggestion; I would like to suggest that you look into the Christian faith.
But the important factor is that you improve your relationship with your God, so that you will have the help you need to go through the challenges you will have in the future. And this relationship will offer you a future after you should cease to exist on this world.
But all of this is a tremendous amount that would have to change in order for all our current future to change. What’s going to happen if it doesn’t?

Although the changes I proposed are possible, they are not likely. Therefore, it is probable that the worldwide drought will continue over the next decade or century.
During the relatively near future, the drought will continue to expand. And as conditions continue to decline, the people in the worst areas will have to take actions to survive. These will no doubt include moving out of the dying areas into areas where the draught is not yet as severe. This will speed up the drought in those areas.
All kinds of survival plans will be initiated by individuals and/or nations. This will cause more wars for territory to take place. This will cause more decline, until one of the parties start to use nuclear weapons and that will bring an end to most of humanity.
In the mean time, societies will go into decline, financially, law and order, educationally and all aspects of society. Famines will develop around the world. Food and water will cease to be available. Humans will die by the millions.
Animals and plants will continue to lose ground. And as a result, Oxygen will continue to decline. When the oxygen declines enough, the world will end as far as humans are concerned.
The only help for the human race will be if God steps in and takes unilateral action. If He chooses not to act it would be His choice. A few humans will try to hang on by going underground or by going on space craft into space. This will only buy a small amount of time.
For those humans who are Christians, they have a future in heaven to look forward to. But it is my belief, after over 50 years of study, that only those Christians that learned to truly love their God with their whole heart, mind and spirit will join him in a heavenly love fest. So let us look at loving God in more detail.

One day Jesus’s hecklers asked Him, Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” (v. 36 NIV). His answer is a timely reminder to both his leaders and followers; it includes those who sit in the pews and those who stand in the pulpit. Love the Lord your God with all your heart… all your soul and your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” As a leader you must never leave a question in anyone’s mind as to who is God – and who isn’t . Namely, anyone else! God said, “You shall have no other gods before Me” (Ex 20:3 NKJV). And that’s important, because you’re never in greater danger than when someone or something, including yourself, becomes more important in your life. We must respect, honor, and love others. But God, must come first in our priority and in our relationship with others. But the Christian leader discourages encouraging others to place themselves before God in priority. John the Baptist was so successful as a preacher that when he got through speaking, his audience flocked to Jesus. “Speaking of it, Jesus latter said, in essence, “John, you did your job well!” Apparently John agreed, for he said, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (JN 3:30). Only when a Christian becomes humble to praise and approved and dies to ego, is God glorified in his or her leadership. Indeed, when God alone is top priority, the God loving Christian smiles and says , “Thank You God – that’s how you intended it.”
“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?”
The love talked about in Christian writings isn’t a sentimental emotion that gives you a “feel good” emotion. It’s compassion, caring, and concern for the well-being (their needs and desires are more important than yours) of another. It is based on commitment, not convenience. It is an act of your will not a reflex of your emotions. Jesus asks a question that’s a thought provoking question: “If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit?” (vv. 32-33). Loving is the hardest thing you’ll ever do, and it will require all your effort that God can assist you in doing it. Jesus continues. “Love your enemies! Do good to them! Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate. Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven. Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full-pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over… The amount you give will determine the amount you get back” (vv. 35-38 NLT).
The Bible says, “Love never fails.” Think about it: Money doesn’t bring happiness, fame doesn’t bring self-worth, and revenge doesn’t bring satisfaction. The only thing that never fails is love. When Mother Teresa addressed world leaders at the United Nations, she was asked, “How can we have world peace?” She replied, “Go home and love your family.” We would have a good start on loving everyone else. Jesus founded Christianity upon love, and to this day millions would die for Him. You can’t love others without making yourself vulnerable. The fact is you can’t love and “keep all your options open. To truly love – whether it’s your spouse, your children, or the people around you – you must give yourself unreservedly in such a way that you can be hurt and even rejected. The fundamental principle of Christianity is to give of yourself with your WHOLE body, spirit, effort and ability. This is not easy. Only God can give you the power to do this. So you must start their. The Bible says” God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind” (2 Ti. 1:7 NKJV). That’s why love is the answer for humankind’s survival on this earth. Anything short of that will bring us a unfavorable ending.
Since Love is the answer, we should delve even deeper into it:

21. LOVE
1 Corinthians 13
If I could speak in any language in heaven or on earth but didn’t love others, I would only be making meaningless noise like a loud gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I knew all the mysteries of the future and knew everything about everything, but didn’t love others, what good would I be? And if I had the gift of faith so that I could speak to a mountain and make it move, without love I would be no good to anybody. 3If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would be of no value whatsoever.
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. 6It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
8Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will all disappear. 9Now we know only a little, and even the gift of prophecy reveals little! 10 But when the end comes, these special gifts will all disappear.
11It’s like this: When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now.
13 There are three things that will endure—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
The New Testament reading provides us with an insight as to how God places such importance on Love. The Gospel reading of chapter 13 defines real love. The Bible clearly states that love is more important than all the spiritual gifts exercised in the church body. Great faith, acts of dedication or sacrifice, and miracle-working power have little effect without love. Love makes our actions and gifts useful. Although people have different gifts, love is available to everyone.
Our society confuses love and lust. Unlike lust, God’s kind of love is directed outward toward others, not inward toward ourselves. It is utterly unselfish. This kind of love goes against our natural inclinations. It is impossible to have this love unless God helps us set aside our own natural desires so that we can love and not expect anything in return. Thus, the more we become like Christ, the more love we will show to others.
God gives us spiritual gifts in order to build up, serve, and strengthen fellow Christians—the church. In eternity, we will be made perfect and complete and will be in the very presence of God. We will no longer need spiritual gifts, so they will come to an end.
Love had become a mixed-up term with little meaning. Today people are still confused about love. Love is the greatest of all human qualities, and it is an attribute of God himself (1 John 4:8). Love involves unselfish service to others; to show it gives evidence that you care. Faith is the foundation and content of God’s message; hope is the attitude and focus; love is the action. When faith and hope are in line, you are free to love completely because you understand how God loves.

JOHN 13:34;
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.
To love others was not a new commandment (see Leviticus 19:18), but to love others as much as Christ loved others was revolutionary. Now we are to love others based on Jesus’ sacrificial love for us. Such love will not only bring unbelievers to Christ; it will also keep believers strong and united in a world hostile to God. Jesus was a living example of God’s love, as we are to be living examples of Jesus’ love.
Jesus says that our Christlike love will show we are his disciples. Do people see petty bickering, jealousy, and division in our church? Or do they know you are Jesus’ followers by your love for one another?

1 JOHN 2:9;
If anyone says, “I am living in the light” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is still living in darkness.
Does this mean that if you dislike someone you aren’t a Christian? These verses are not talking about disliking a disagreeable Christian brother or sister. There will always be people we will not like as well as others. John’s words focus on the attitude that causes us to ignore or despise others, to treat them as irritants, competitors, or enemies. Christian love is not a feeling but a choice. We can choose to be concerned with people’s well-being and treat them with respect, whether or not we feel affection toward them. If we choose to love others, God will help us express our love.

JOHN 13:35;
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
Love is more than simply warm feelings; it is an attitude that reveals itself in action. How can we love others as Jesus loves us? By helping when it’s not convenient, by giving when it hurts, by devoting energy to others’ welfare rather than our own, by absorbing hurts from others without complaining or fighting back. This kind of loving is hard to do. That is why people notice when you do it and know you are empowered by a supernatural source. The Bible had a beautiful description of love in 1 Corinthians 13, we started with in this chapter.

1 PETER 4:8;
Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

1 JOHN 4:12
No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us.
If no one has ever seen God, how can we ever know him? John in his Gospel said, “His only Son, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart; he has told us about him” (John 1:18). Jesus is the complete expression of God in human form, and he has revealed God to us. When we love one another, the invisible God reveals himself to others through us, and his love is made complete.
Some people enjoy being with others. They make friends with strangers easily and always are surrounded by many friends. Other people are shy or reserved. They have a few friends, but they are uncomfortable talking with people they don’t know or mingling in crowds. Shy people don’t need to become extroverts in order to love others. John isn’t telling us how many people to love, but how much to love the people we already know. Our job is to love faithfully the people God has given us to love, whether there are two or two hundred of them. If God sees that we are ready to love others, he will bring them to us. No matter how shy we are, we don’t need to be afraid of the love commandment. God provides us the strength to do what he asks.
Being a Christian comes with certain expectations, and one of them is that we will love others. Our Christian conduct is proof as to whether we love each other, and loving each other is proof that we belong to Christ.

Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love covers all offenses.

Love is patient and kind.
The gifts that come from love are many. Here are a few: (1) forgiveness, (2) patience, (3) kindness, (4) love for truth, (5) love for justice, (6) love for the best in a person, (7) loyalty at any cost, (8) belief in a person no matter what. Love does not allow for (1) jealousy, (2) envy, (3) pride, (4) a haughty spirit, (5) selfishness, (6) rudeness, (7) a demand for one’s own way, (8) irritability, (9) grudges.

HOSEA 2:19;
I will make you my wife forever, showing you righteousness and justice, unfailing love and compassion.
God’s wedding gift to his people, both in Hosea’s day and in our own, is his compassion. Through no merit of our own, God forgives us and makes us right with him. There is no way for us by our own efforts to reach God’s high standards, but he graciously accepts us, forgives us, and draws us into a relationship with himself. In that relationship we have personal and intimate communion with him.

JOHN 3:16;
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
The message of the Good News comes to a focus in this verse. God’s love is not static or self-centered; it reaches out and draws others in. Here God sets the pattern of true love, the basis for all love relationships—when you love someone dearly, you are willing to give freely to the point of self-sacrifice. When we share the Good News with others, our love must be like Jesus’—willingly giving up our own comfort and security so that others might join us in receiving God’s love.
Some people are repulsed by the idea of eternal life because their lives are miserable. But eternal life is not an extension of a person’s miserable, mortal life When we don’t know Christ, we make choices as though this life is all we have. In reality, this life is just the introduction to eternity. Receive this new life by faith and begin to evaluate all that happens from an eternal perspective.
To “believe” is more than intellectual agreement that Jesus is God. It means to put our trust and confidence in him that he alone can save us. It is to put Christ in charge of our present plans and eternal destiny. Believing is both trusting his words as reliable, and relying on him for the power to change. If you have never trusted Christ, let this promise of everlasting life be yours—and believe.

1 JOHN 4:7-12;
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God—for God is love.
9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us.
Everyone believes that love is important, but love is usually thought of as a feeling. In reality, love is a choice and an action, as 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 showed. God is the source of our love: He loved us enough to sacrifice his Son for us. Jesus is our example of what it means to love; everything he did in life and death was supremely loving. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to love; He lives in our heart and makes us more and more like Christ. God’s love always involves a choice and an action, and our love should be like his. How well do you display your love for God in the choices you make and the actions you take?
John says, “God is love,” not “Love is God.” Our world, with its shallow and selfish view of love, has turned these words around and contaminated our understanding of love. The world thinks that love is what makes a person feel good and that it is all right to sacrifice moral principles and others’ rights in order to obtain such “love.” But that isn’t real love; it is the exact opposite—selfishness. And God is not that kind of “love.” Real love is like God, who is holy, just, and perfect. If we truly know God, we will love as he does.
Love explains (1) why God creates—because he loves, he creates people to love; (2) why God cares—because he loves them, he cares for sinful people; (3) why we are free to choose—God wants a loving response from us; (4) why Christ died—his love for us caused him to offer a solution to the problem of sin; and (5) why we receive eternal life—God’s love expresses itself to us forever.

And this expectation will not disappoint us. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
All three members of the Trinity are involved in salvation. The Father loved us so much that he sent his Son to bridge the gap between us (John 3:16). The Father and the Son send the Holy Spirit to fill our life with love and to enable us to live by his power (Acts 1:8). With all this loving care, how can we do less than serve him completely!

ROMANS 8:35-39
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with death? 36(Even the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) 37No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t, and the demons can’t. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can’t keep God’s love away. 39Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
These verses contain one of the most comforting promises in all Scripture. Believers have always had to face hardships in many forms: persecution, illness, imprisonment, and even death. These sometimes cause them to fear that they have been abandoned by Christ. But Paul exclaims that it is impossible to be separated from Christ. His death for us is proof of his unconquerable love. Nothing can separate us from Christ’s presence . God tells us how great his love is so that we will feel totally secure in him. If we believe these overwhelming assurances, we will not be afraid.

And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”
How much we love God can be measured by how well we treat others. Jesus’ example of giving a cup of cold water to a thirsty child is a good model of unselfish service. A child usually can’t or won’t return a favor. God notices every good deed we do or don’t do as if he were the one receiving it. Is there something unselfish you can do for someone else today? Although no one else may see you, God will notice.
By showing our love to needy people whom God loves.

JOHN 14:21
Those who obey my commandments are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them, and I will love them. And I will reveal myself to each one of them.”
Jesus said that his followers show their love for him by obeying him. Love is more than lovely words; it is commitment and conduct. If you love Christ, then prove it by obeying what he says in his Word.
By obeying him.

JOHN 21:15-17;
Once more he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was grieved that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know I love you.”
Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.

For God is not unfair. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other Christians, as you still do.
It’s easy to get discouraged, thinking that God has forgotten us. But God is never unjust. He never forgets or overlooks our hard work for him. Presently you may not be receiving rewards and acclaim, but God knows your efforts of love and ministry. Let God’s love for you and his intimate knowledge of your service for him bolster you as you face disappointment and rejection here on earth.
By guiding and helping Jesus’ followers.

PSALM 122:1
I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
Going to God’s house can be a chore or a delight. For the psalmist, it was a delight. As a pilgrim attending one of the three great religious festivals, he rejoiced to worship with God’s people in God’s house. We may find worship a chore if we have unconfessed sin or if our love for God has cooled. But if we are close to God and enjoy his presence, we will be eager to worship and praise him. Our attitude toward God will determine our view of worship.
By worshiping him and praising him for his love to us.

Promise from God:
Romans 8:39
Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A Good Creed
If any little word of our scan make one life the brighter;
If any song of ours can make one heart the lighter;
God help us speak that little word,
and take our bit of singing and drop it in some lonely vale
to set God’s shared love in every heart.
If any little love of ours can make one life the sweeter;
If any little care of ours can make one step the fleeter;
If any little help may ease the burden of another;
God give us love and care and strength
To help along each other to the eternal love fest.

Prayer of St Frances of Assisi
Lord make me an instrument of Thy Peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow, love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand:
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying to self that we our born to eternal life.
Prayer for a Loverlike Life
Father in heaven, provide me enough joy to keep me friendly, enough needs to keep me dependent on you; enough accomplishment to keep me eager, enough failure to keep me humble; enough faith to drive away rebellion, enough doubt to keep me learning what you desire; enough hope so that I keep on looking for better ways to serve you, enough sense to know when I have found then. And when I’ve done all I can do in one day, the best I can, help me to realize I am in your hands.

Prayer to Your Model and Guide
Jesus Christ, during your earthly life you were always faithful to God’s plan for you. I also wish to follow his plan for me obediently. Help me to know how I may do this. Make me attentive to His communication with me during the yearsof preparation for my home in heaven. When I do reach the point of my graduation to my new life, help me to enter it with the joy it deserves.

Prayer for a Successful Life
“Thank You, God, for the chance to be a Lover of Yours. Thank You, for the chance to participate in Your training program; right where I am – not where I’m going to be tomorrow, not where I was yesterday, but right where I am today.
Help me to build my limitations into my strengths. And with those new strengths, I commit to you to use this moment in time, for my glory in your eyes, as well as Your glory. Help me to use this moment, with Your help/grace, for you, and in you. May I use this moment in time, to grow in my relationship with Jesus Christ, as well as with my heaven seeking brothers and sisters. Guide me, to make a difference in your world; that You as Father will be proud of. Then I will be a success. Amen.
Prayer for Guidance
O Heavenly Father, You have given me everything I possess here on this earth. You provide all of my earthly rewards gained by my earthly pursuits; as well as the capability to decide whether to turn over control of my body, soul, mind, will and understanding to you. All I ask in exchange; is that you guide and help me to perform Your Heavenly will.
Commitment by Cardinal Newman
“God has created me to do for Him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which he has not committed to another.”
“I have a mission. I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next.”
“Therefore, I will trust Him. Whatever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him. In perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him. If I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him.”
“He does nothing in vain. He knows what He is about. He may take away my friends. He may throw me among strangers. He may make me feel desolate, make my spirit sink, hide my future from me – still He knows what He is about.”

Prayer of Trust and Confidence (Thomas Merton)
My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain, where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this, You will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore, will I trust you always though I may know nothing about it. Therefore, will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.
Getting’ Going Prayer
Dear Lord, Help me to see you in all I do today;
Clear and direct my mind as I start my day.
Help me to know where you’re leading today;
Help me to follow each step of the way.
If a friend has a need or a burden to bear,
Help me to be there to show that I care.
I pray not for riches which tend to rust;
I just ask for strength, to give you my trust.
Let others see God’s plan living in me.
Then when the day’s challenges have ended;
My will an knee’s have bended.

O God, who hast set forth this training program for me in order to provide instruction by thy beloved Son: I confess with shame my slowness to learn from him, my reluctance to follow him. Thou hast spoken and called, and I have not given heed; thy love hath shown forth, and I have been blind; thou hast stretched out thy hands to me through others in need, and I have passed by. I have taken great benefits with little thanks; I have been unworthy of thy changeless love.

Forgive me wherein I have cherished the things that divide me from others, and wherein I have been thoughtless in my judgements, hasty in condemnation, grudging in forgiveness. Amen.
Have mercy upon me, and forgive me, O Lord; if I have made no ventures in friendship if I havekept in my heart a grievance against another, if I have not sought reconciliation, if I have been eager for the punishment of wrongdoers and slow to seek their redemption. Amen.

A Prayer for Wisdom
O God, from whom there is an endless supply of love and wisdom, today as we encounter opportunities and challenges. When we rely too much on what we know, deepen our understanding of Your will. When we are too quick to give our opinion, help us to hold our tongue. When by our presence we seek to control others, soften our approach and give us the confidence to trust others. We ask this because we truly want to be your “shared love” in this dark world, Your wisdom in this world of spiritual ignorance and Your presence in this world that does not love You. Amen.

A Prayer for Guidance
O Lover God, You are the beginning and the end of all things. We praise You for the protection and love You have promised us for this day. When we are thoughtless and careless, firm up Your purposes in us. When we are forgetful of our commitments, enliven our memory to our own promises. When we are loveless, recall to us Your loving ways among us in Jesus our model and guide. When we marvel not as the beauty around us, fill me with wonder at Your creation. Direct and guide all that we say and do, that we begin and end all things in Your love.
To be filled with the Spirit.
O Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and His Son. You are the giver of life. You descend on us daily when we read and study the Bible. Grant us you’re the humility to follow the Son when He leads, to serve Him when the opportunity comes and to forgive as frequently as You forgives. Let not past hurts, past regrets, or past failures prevent us from responding to Your urging. May we be ever be filled wit You that our life and conversation may be a reflection of shared love which comes from the love of the Father in heaven. Amen.

For a Right perspective in Life
We have trouble, heavenly Father in maintaining a right understanding of life. Help us always remember that we are to love You more than anyone or anything else. Our world is an impersonal one of “bottom lines” and “latest models.” Our lives go by and we spend time and energy chasing that which has no lasting value. Help us, Lord, so that we do not destroy what is most important of all – our relationship with You. Enable us to bring order out of the chaos around us and to see that in You alone there is the best “shared love” hope and peace, and that next to You our loved ones are the greatest gifts You have given us. Amen.
Prayer for Contentment
Heavenly Father, we are bombarded by advertising that encourages us to buy, buy, buy! These invitations are before us on the internet, television, radio, billboards, and in newspapers. We are tempted to feel dissatisfied, disadvantaged, and lacking in necessary things for life. You have said, O Lord, that we should be content if we have food and clothing (1 Timothy 6:8). Help us to find this satisfaction, Lord. Teach us that true contentment is found only in You, that the blessings You give truly satisfy. Instill in us the understanding that the things of this world will pass away, but the blessings that You give in Jesus Christ will last forever. Give us strength to help others also to find this true peace and love in You. Amen.
Prayer for Inner Peace
Lord, You have promised us a peace that passes all understanding – a peace the world cannot give, but one that comes only from You. It rests on the reconciling work of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. It is a peace that endures in the midst of challenges and assignments. Lord, help us to communicate this peace to others as we speak of Your shared love and help. Help us to remember the promise of Your presence with us at all times. May your peace surround us as we come and go, rest and work, and sharing love in church and at home. Amen.
For Faith
Dear God, I offer this prayer to you today for the faith of the world. Through the works and actions of people just like me, may people everywhere come to have faith in You. Give to Christians everywhere the ability to show their love and faith to the world – not by flashy words and emotional pleas – but by living each day sharing your love. Let others see a difference in us, a difference that announces to the world that we are God’s lovers and have turned over control of our lives to Him. Amen.

Start of Day Prayer
Lord, I want to be quiet inside and hear your words for I know that Your voice can give true peace to my heart. Give me the strength to quiet myself each day that your voice may truly be the guide in my life. Fill me with the courage to trust and obey the guidance you give to me. Let me feel through Your words your deep love for me, that I may know the real peace you have promised. Thank you, Lord, for continually speaking words of love to me, even when I block them out with my noise. Be patient with me as I slowly create quiet space in my life for You. You are good to me, and I love You. Amen.

The Journey to Inner Peace
Sharing the Morning
Stay with me, Lord, as dawn turns into day. Stay with me so that I may carry this feeling of peace through everything I do today. Stay with me, giving me strength and courage. Stay with me, allowing me to feel your loving compassion so that I may share it with others. Stay with me so that I may see how I need to grow. Prayer to Do the Will of God
Almighty and eternal God, ruler of the universe, ever present, around, beneath, above and within me, behold, I come to do Your will, O God. I Know not what to do. Not understanding perfectly, not knowing the reasons why for many things, I come before you, almighty God, to be strengthened to accept your will as Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior,, accepted the will of His Heavenly Father. I am all Yours, almighty God, and all that I have is Yours. Your kingdom come. Your will be done. Amen.
Prayer of the Sick
O Lord, You know that I am sick, and You do not need for me to give you a report on my condition. Keep me from the sin of blaming you for my adversity. Give me the might of Your Holy Spirit to place myself completely into Your good and gracious care. Give me patience to accept Your will, which is always good. Never let me doubt Your love, which You have shown in Jesus and His death for me. Watch over my loved ones and help them to deal with my illness in a way that honers You. Replace fear with the confidence that You will never leave us nor forsake us, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
Prayer for the Sick
Our heavenly Father, look with compassion upon all who are ill. Set your Healing powers to work in them. We thank You for medical science. Bless the hands of those who minister to our loved ones who are ill. Strengthen the hands of those who minister with tenderness and love, and guide the skillful hands of doctors and nurses. Give patience to those who carry the cross of affliction, who bear the burden of illness. Fill their hearts with the joy of shared love and with the hope of them joining in heaven with their souls. Assure them of Your abiding presence. We commend them to Your gracious care, in Jesus name. Amen.
Prayer Before Making a Decision
Lord, I have an important decision to make (Name it …). I seek your wisdom in making the right choice that will be for my good and that of others in both time and in eternity. Too often what seem best to man, is noth best for his salvation according to the mind of God. God’s ways and thoughts are so elevated above our own. If I cannot always see clearly your way, O God, or understand the wisdom of the events you permit and cause to come into my life., permit me at least to trust in you. Into my life, permit me to at least to trust in you. Help me to pray as though all depended on You, dear Lord and to work as though all depended upon myself. In this way I will use the talents you have given me and give credit to the outcome in harmony.
For Moral Strength in Our Society.
Almighty and gracious God, You desire that all people “live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Timothy 2:2). Direct and strengthen the lives of the people in our society to acknowledge Your shared love as good and vigorously to use the ability You give to live beneficially for one another. Because you want all to be saved, turn hearts from unbelief to faith in shared love and from disobedience to the obedience that flows from hearts renewed by the Holy Spirit, Grant that people may “act justly … love mercy and … walk humbly” before You (Micah 6:8).
